History

Faculty of Education, Mahasarakham University — a source of learning and gateway to wisdom — originated with the establishment of the College of Education on March 27, 1968. It was founded to produce quality teachers for service in various fields, particularly to address the needs of the northeastern region of Thailand. Later, the college was upgraded to become Srinakharinwirot University, Mahasarakham Campus on June 29, 1942.

Srinakharinwirot University, Mahasarakham Campus continued to improve in all aspects and eventually gained independent status as Mahasarakham University (MSU). The Faculty of Education became the first official faculty within MSU.

Since then, the Faculty of Education has remained committed to producing educators with expertise in diverse fields, contributing to both local and national educational development. The faculty offers programs at undergraduate and graduate levels, emphasizes research, and provides academic services to local communities.
